Suttle-Straus Receives Several Awards in Statewide Print Competition

Suttle-Straus, Waunakee communications provider, won several honors for outstanding achievement in the fifth annual 2005 Graphics Excellence Awards, a statewide printing competition hosted by the Printing Industries of Wisconsin, the state’s trade association for printing and graphic arts.

Competing against over 715 entries from printing firms across the state, Suttle-Straus garnered multiple awards for pieces submitted for judging. The company received Best of Category for seven pieces representing a variety of products. Awards of excellence were given to Suttle-Straus for 15 additional entries, as well as another 15 honorable mention awards for a total of 37 pieces being recognized.

Entries were judged on technical printing excellence by a judging panel of printers, buyers, and ad agency executives. The Graphic Excellence Awards recognize those responsible for the creation and production of print communications in Wisconsin. The competition promotes excellence in print communications and rewards companies and individuals who produce the best in print media.

PIW is the state’s graphic arts trade association, representing an industry with more than 41,000 employees and $6 billion in annual sales.
