Suttle-Straus Receives Several Awards in Statewide Print Competition

Suttle-Straus, Madison area communications provider, won several honors for outstanding achievement in the seventh annual 2007 Graphics Excellence Awards, a statewide printing competition hosted by the Printing Industries of Wisconsin, the state’s trade association for printing and graphic arts.

Competing against over 950 entries from printing firms across the state, Suttle-Straus garnered multiple awards for pieces submitted for judging. The company received Best of Category for six pieces and Best of Division for one entry, representing a variety of products. Awards of excellence were given to Suttle-Straus for 11 additional entries, as well as another 13 honorable mention awards for a total of 31 pieces being recognized.

Entries were judged on technical printing excellence by a judging panel of printers, buyers, and ad agency executives. The Graphic Excellence Awards recognize those responsible for the creation and production of print communications in Wisconsin. The competition promotes excellence in print communications and rewards companies and individuals who produce the best in printed media.

PIW is the state’s graphic arts trade association, representing an industry with more than 44,000 employees and $7.3 billion in annual sales.
