Suttle-Straus Receives Certificates of Merit in Worldwide Print Competition
Suttle-Straus, Madison area communications provider, has been awarded multiple 2007
Premier Print Awards, for outstanding achievement in the production of sheetfed and digital
printing. The graphic arts industry’s largest and most prestigious worldwide printing
competition, hosted by PIA/GATF, the Premier Print Awards recognizes those responsible
for the creation and production of outstanding print communications. Suttle-Straus won a
total of five Certificates of Merit for their entries for multiple clients including Sub-Zero,
Lexus and Northern Bay.
Competing against over 5,000 entries from printing and graphic arts firms around the
world, the judges bestowed on Suttle-Straus the award which honors technical excellence
in each category of the competition. Only 24% of the entries in this year’s competition won
any award at all.
“It’s an honor to be recognized by the industry as a company that produces top quality,
award winning materials,” said John Berthelsen, President. “Our entire team shares in the
excitement of this national recognition.”
Michael Makin, president and CEO of PIA/GATF, notes, “Each year, the field of entries
brings impressive work from some of the best printers in the world. Only a small number
of companies receive any award. The craftsmanship and hard work of Suttle-Straus enabled
them to produce several award winning pieces in the face of some very stiff competition.”
The Premier Print Awards is the printing industry’s oldest and largest worldwide graphic

and rewards companies and individuals who produce the best in print media.
