Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, August 15, 2012—Printing Industries of America is pleased to announce John Berthelsen, President and CEO, Suttle-Straus, Inc., located in Waunakee, Wisconsin is the recipient of the 2012 Lewis Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award.

Established in 1950, the Lewis Award is recognized as the highest honor awarded to any individual in the graphic arts industry. Named for Abraham Lewis, founder of Graphic Arts Monthly, and his sons Louis and Myron, the award honors a business leader who has gone far beyond standard obligations to become a significant force in shaping the business of producing printed communications.

The Annual Safe Harbor Rent Party was held on Thursday night at the Edgewater Ballroom. Suttle-Straus was honored for the ongoing support of the organization with a framed drawing presented to President, John Berthelsen.

The Madison/Milwaukee Area Advertising Federation held their annual ADDY Awards event at Union South on Saturday, February 25th. The ADDYs® are the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting over 50,000 entries every year through local ADDY competitions around the country. The ADDY competition aims to recognize and reward creative excellence in the art of advertising.

Pewaukee, WI – The Great Lakes Graphics Association (GLGA) has announced that Suttle-Straus, Madison area communications provider, is an award winner in the 2012 Graphic Excellence Awards competition. The judging was concluded on March 16 with over 1000 print entries in the competition. The GEA competition is one of the largest printing competitions in the nation.

Suttle-Straus won a total of 34 awards for outstanding achievement in their production over a wide variety of categories. The company received Best of Category for five pieces, two Best of Division, 23 Award of Excellence, and Certificates of Merit for 4 entries, representing a variety of products.
