We have been used to the United States Postal Service (USPS) raising rates every January and July as part of the USPS Delivering for American Plan. The plan details the steps the Postmaster General has put into place to make the USPS solvent within 10 years. We are currently finishing up with year three of the plan and the USPS is ahead of schedule.
The USPS announced that they were holding 2025 stamp pricing at the current rate. You can read the Industry Alert here. Postmaster General DeJoy recommended that the USPS not to raise the pricing on Market Dominant products and the recommendation was approved by the Governors of the USPS. I would expect that Market Dominated products will see a price increase in July 2025.
Mail owners can take advantage of postage remaining at the current pricing and also save additional postage by using the USPS Promotions. I will be detailing the 2025 Promotions in future blog articles.
Happy Mailing,
Rob Hanks
